Biar lah ini menjadi post terakhir buat Tahun 2008. Terlalu banyak gambar-gambar yang cantik dibuat dalam tahun 2008, akhir nya terpaksa mengalah, dan memilih gambar di atas. Walaupun gambar nie terkeluar dari kategori “Photojournalism” akan tetapi ianya adalah hasil terbaik saya setakat ini. Terbaik dari sudut pengalaman, impak dan sangat terbaik untuk kesemuanya. Ianya juga dapat membuka minda kita bahawa kreativiti dalam fotografi sememangnya tiada sempadan.

Kemudian, aku terkejut!. BM langgar pantang, dier hantar extra satu. Jadi nya aku ikut “masbuk” hantar lah gambar ke 2 terbaik aku yang kat bawah nie. Kenapa gambar nie terbaik? kerana this is my 1st. pix being selected in Reuters’ Top 24. Kalau BM, jangan cakap lah. Dier tu dah tahap “DEWA”.

Bagi yang tak hantar Best of Warung 2008, mungkin tak sempat, atau malu, atau kesal kerana tak berkerja keras di tahun 2008, kena lah menunggu tahun depan.

Living underneath the concrete structure of a railway station, almost unseen to the eyes of the public, they simply could not care about the hygiene factors and the daily conditions they are in. The reality is, their only concern in life would be to settle an amount of USD4000 they each “owe” to “the agency” or face a brutal consequence, so brutal in fact death would be a blessing in disguise.
